Total bacterial count is a key indicator for assessing the level of bacterial contamination and hygiene quality in food, water, and surface samples, reflecting whether the sample meets hygiene standards. However, traditional bacterial culture testing methods are time-consuming, complex to operate, and lack timeliness. The enzyme substrate method total bacterial count detector overcomes these drawbacks, enabling rapid and accurate determination of bacterial and fungal counts in samples and assessment of surface cleanliness.
The bacterial total count analyzer is widely used in health supervision and epidemic prevention departments, hospital disinfection quality inspections, food and beverage industries, entry-exit inspection and quarantine, metal manufacturing/fuel enterprises, wastewater treatment plants, and other settings.
The Bacterial Total Count Analyzer detects peroxidase, an enzyme produced by aerobic microorganisms such as bacteria and fungi during metabolism. The production of peroxidase is proportional to the level of biological activity, so the number of enzymes present in the sample reflects the current total biological activity. The instrument detects the oxygen released during the reaction between the substrate and the enzyme, converting it into a biological activity quantity to read out BMR and CFU values.
The following items can be tested:
1. Industrial materials: metalworking fluids, paper mill raw materials, water-based coatings and raw materials, fuel oil, adhesives, hydraulic/anti-spray fluids, aluminum can manufacturing fluids, rolling oils.
2. Food products: processed foods, meats, grains, vegetables, fruits.
3. Powders: dust, soil.
4. Liquids: drinking water, air conditioning water, construction water, cooling tower water, process water, wastewater treatment, surface treatment/water cleaners.
Device operation: Simple to use, no sample preparation required.
