Advanced, Accurate, Reliable
The CD2 Smart Environmental Radon Monitor employs an electrostatic collection-semiconductor sensor-alpha energy spectrum analysis method for radon measurement. The pump draws the sample gas (air) into the electrostatic collection chamber. Within this chamber, a high-voltage electric field adsorbs RaA (²¹⁸Po), the first-generation decay product of ²²²Rn, onto the surface of the semiconductor alpha-ray sensor (cathode). Through energy spectrum analysis, the alpha particle count rate of RaA is measured to quantitatively determine the volume activity of ²²²Rn.
Utilizing the energy spectrum measurement of alpha particles from the short-lived daughter product of 222Rn (218Po with a half-life of 3 minutes) may effectively mitigate thorium radon interference during soil radon measurements. Additionally, the short half-life of the measured daughter product enables the detector to return to low background levels within a brief timeframe during high-activity measurements (e.g., soil radon).
Built-in climate sensors precisely measure gas temperature, humidity, and atmospheric pressure within the static chamber, indicating desiccator status and enabling gas volume correction and temperature-adsorption rate correction.

This enables the PRn700 series smart environmental radon monitors to offer multiple intuitive and user-friendly human-machine interaction modes, including images, sounds, wired/wireless networks, and touch sensing.
The computing platform built on the ARM processor and Android 4.4 operating system delivers robust data processing capabilities. It supports diverse data connectivity options including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB (HOSTDEVICE mode), RJ45, and RS232, enabling users to update software.
Software design aligns with mainstream smart touchscreen device operation modes, including intelligent backlighting, automatic shutdown when idle, and confirmation prompts for critical operations.
